Let's α and β be the zeroes of equation , then

  \implies\sf\alpha  \times  \beta  =  \dfrac{c}{a}

Here

  • a = 1
  • b = - 3
  • c = k
  • α × β = - 2

Substitute values in formula

\implies\sf  - 2 =  \frac{k}{1} \\  \\ \implies \underline{\boxed{\sf k =  - 2}}

x²-3x+k-10=0

sum=-b/a=3

product =k-10

k-10=-2

k-10+2=0

k=8 is the answer
