Given;  the product of two of the roots of x3-kx2-3x+4=0 may be -1

To Find; The value of k

Solution; Let the three roots be α,β and z

Product of first two roots is -1

Product of roots = -d/a=-4

-1**z=-4

z=4

Sum product of roots = c/a

α+β+z=-3

α+β=-7

Sum of roots = -b/a

-7+4=k

Hence the value of k is -3
