If the product of two whole numbers is 1 , can we say that one or both of them will be 1? Justify through examples.

Answer:

For a product to be 1, both the numbers should be 1.

Eg :

1 x 2 = 2 (not one)

2 x 4 = 8 (not one)

According to whole numbers property, any number multiplied by 1 gives you the same number.

Hence, in order for the product to be 1, the answer should be 1 x 1.
