Solution :-

Given :-

Polynomial = ax² - 6x - 6

Product of roots = 4

So as we know in a quadratic polynomial :-

ax² + bx + c

Sum of roots

= -b/a

Product of roots

= c/a

Now in our polynomial :-

a = a

b = -6

c = -6

Also product of roots = 4

So

c/a = 4

→ -6/a = 4

→ 4a = -6

→ a = -6/4

→ a = -3/2

So

 \Huge{\boxed{\sf{ a = \dfrac{-3}{2}}}}

Answer: 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Polynomial = ax² - 6x - 6

Product of roots = 4

So as we know in a quadratic polynomial :-

ax² + bx + c

Sum of roots

= -b/a

Product of roots

= c/a

Now in our polynomial :-

a = a,b = -6,c = -6

Also product of roots = 4

So

 c/a = 4

-6/a = 4

4a = -6

a = -6/4

a = -3/2

sum of root,

-b/a

= -6*2/-3

= 4
