Answer :-

a = 8

Given :-

 x^2 -9x + a

Product of zeroes is = 8

To find :-

The value of a.

Solution:-

Let \alpha and \beta be the zeroes of the polynomial.

A/Q

 \alpha \beta = 8

We know that the relationship between the product of zeroes and it's coefficient is :-

 \huge \boxed{\alpha \beta = \dfrac{c}{a}}

Put the given values,

 8 = \dfrac{a}{1}

 a = 8

hence,

The value of a will be 8.

GIVEN:

Polynomial: x² - 9x + a

Product of zeroes = 8

We know that,

Product of zeroes using coefficients= c/a

From the above polynomial,

c = a and a = 1

=> 8 = c/a

=> 8 = a/1

=> a = 8

Therefore, the value of a is 8.
