Given Equation

kx² - 3x - 6

The Product of zeroes of the quadratic Polynomial is 4

To Find

The value of k

Now Take

kx² - 3x - 6

So compare with

ax² + bx + c

We get

a = k , b = -3 and c = - 6

We know that

Product of zeroes = c/a

Product of zeroes = 4 , c = -6 and a = k

Put the value

4= -6/k

k = -6/4

k = -3/2

Answer

k = -3/2

Answer:

k = -3/2

Solution :

Here ,

The given quadratic polynomial is ;

kx² - 3x - 6

Now ,

Comparing the given quadratic polynomial with the general quadratic polynomial ax² + bx + c , we have ;

a = k

b = -3

c = -6

Also ,

It is given that , the product of zeros of the given quadratic polynomial is 4 .

Thus ,

=> Product of zeros = 4

=> c/a = 4

=> -6/k = 4

=> -6/4 = k

=> k = -3/2

Hence , k = -3/2 .
