if the pth term of an ap is v and the vth term is p then prove that p=v​

Answer:

a +(p-1)d=v------1

a+(v-1)d=p------2

subtracting eq i from ii we get

v-p= p-v

2v=2p

v=p

hence proved

SOLUTION

 a + (p  - 1)d = v.........(1) \\ a + (v - 1)d = p..........(2) \\  \\

Now, subtracting equation (1) from (2).

 =  > v - p = p - v \\  =  > v + v = p + p \\   =  > 2v = 2p \\  =  >  \frac{2p}{2v}  \\  \\  =  > p = v

Hence Proved
