2cx^2+ax+b=0 ...........................(1)
2cx^2+bx+a=0 ...........................(2)

let both eq. have common solution x
now,
(1)-(2) we get

x(a-b)+b-a=0

x(a-b)=(a-b)

:. x=1

now putting the value of x in (1) we get

2c+a+b=0

-2c=(a+b)

(a+b)/c=-2
