2cx^2+ax+b=0 ...........................(1)
2cx^2+bx+a=0 ...........................(2)
let both eq. have common solution x
now,
(1)-(2) we get
x(a-b)+b-a=0
x(a-b)=(a-b)
:. x=1
now putting the value of x in (1) we get
2c+a+b=0
-2c=(a+b)
(a+b)/c=-2
2cx^2+bx+a=0 ...........................(2)
let both eq. have common solution x
now,
(1)-(2) we get
x(a-b)+b-a=0
x(a-b)=(a-b)
:. x=1
now putting the value of x in (1) we get
2c+a+b=0
-2c=(a+b)
(a+b)/c=-2
