Solution :

If the quadratic equation, x² - 4kx + k = 0 has two equal roots then Δ = 0

⇒Δ = 0

⇒b² - 4ac = 0

⇒(-4k)² - 4(1)(k) = 0

⇒16k² - 4k = 0

⇒4k ( 4k - 1 ) = 0

⇒4k = 0 or 4k - 1 = 0

⇒k = 0 or 1/4 .

Therefore,Value of k is k = 0 or 1/4

hlo mate...here is your answer...hope this may help!!☺️
 {x}^{2} - 4kx + k = 0 \\ if \: this \: equation \: has \: 2 \: equal \: roots \\ d = 0 \\ {b}^{2} - 4ac = 0 \\ ( { - 4k}^{2} ) - 4(1)(k) = 0 \\ 16 {k}^{2} - 4k = 0 \\ 4k(4k - 1) = 0 \\ so \: either \:4 k =0 \\ k = 0 \\ or \: 4k - 1 = 0 \\ k = \frac{ 1}{4} \\ k = 0 \: or \: \frac{ 1}{4}
