If the radii of two circles are 4 cm and 6cm , find the
distance between their centres.​

Answer:

if the circle are co centric the distance is zero, and if the circles arec touching eachother atvsum point then the distance is 6+4=10cm

A and B are the centres of outer and inner circles.

BC=4 cm and AO=6 cm

∴AC=OC−OA

=(8-6)cm

=2cm

Longest Chord is DE or DC

DC² =AD² -AC²

=6²-2²=32

therefore DC= 4√2

therefore DE= 8√2cm
