Formula related to the question : -

\boxed{\mathsf{ Area\:of\:semi-circle= \dfrac{1}{2} \pi r^2}}

In the given question, radius of the circle = 2.5 cm

On the basis of the formula given above.

Area of its semi-circle = \dfrac{1}{2}\times\dfrac{22}{7} \times (2.5\:cm)^2

Area of its semi - circle = \dfrac{11}{7} \times 2.5 \times 2.5\:cm^2

Area of its semi - circle = 9.82 cm^2 ( approx )

Therefore the area of its semi-circle is 9.82 cm^2.

Here is your solution

Given :-

Radius of a circle is 2.5 cm

To find area of its semi circle :-

we know that

Area of semi-circle =  1/2 × π× r^2

=> 1/2 × 22/7 × 2.5cm × 2.5cm

=>22/14×6.25

=>9.82 cm^2

Area of semi-circle  is 9.82 cm^2

Hope it helps you
