Hey sup!
Let assume that the radius is 10cm.
As per the question,
Area=πr^2.
π will be constant in both so let's discard it,as the change in area will solely depend on radius.
Area= r^2=10×10=100.
New area when radius is decreased by 50%=5×5=25.
Difference= 100-25=75.
Difference%= 75/100 × 100 = 75%.
So, when the radius of a circle is decreased by 50% the are will decrease by 75%.
Hope it helps.
