Let consider r is the radius of a circle .

Here ,

  • circumference = 2πr

  • Area = πr²

If the radius r is doubled ,

  • New radius = r × r = r²

  • New circumference = 2πr²

  • New Area = πr⁴

Hence it is clear that if the radius is doubled then the area and circumference too gets doubled .
