157 cm2 , 31.4 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for area of semi-circle is pi * r^2/2

Thus, by substituting values in the formula, we get

Area= 3.14 x (10^2) / 2 = 157 cm2

Now, the formula of circumference is pi*r

Thus, by substituting values in the formula, we get

Circumference = 3.14 x 10 = 31.4 cm

Given:   radius of a semicircle is 10cm

To find :  area and circumference.

Solution:

Radius of Semi circle  = 10 cm

Area of Semi  circle = (1/2) π r²

using π = 3.14

r = radius = 10 cm

Area of Semi  circle = (1/2) (3.14) (10)²

= 157 cm²

Circumference of Semicircle  = Diameter  + arc Length

= 2(radius)  + (1/2) 2 π r

= 2 * 10  + 3.14 * 10

= 20 + 31.4

= 51.4  cm

Area of Semi  circle =  157 cm²

Circumference of Semicircle  =   51.4  cm
