Let radius of circle be X units.

Surface Area of Sphere=4/3πr²

= 4/3 π x² sq. units.

If radius is doubled,

r = 2x units.

Surface Area of Sphere = 4/3πr²

= 4/3π(2x)²

= 4/3π4x²

= 8/3 π x² sq. units.
