Hey mate.
________
Let, the radius of the circle be r
Then,
The area of the circle = 2πr
Now,
Given,
The radius of the circle is doubled i.e. 2r
So,
The area of the new circle = 2π (2r)
= 4πr
Thus,
The ratio of the area of new circle to the given circle is :-
= 4πr / 2πr
= 2 / 1
= 2 : 1
