If the radius of curvature of a concave mirror is 100 cm, then where will the image of an object placed at a distance of 30 cm in front of it be formed?​

Answer:

f=-50, u= -30 As per convention both are negative. Now put these values in the formula

1/f=1/v + 1/u

- 1/50= - 1/30 + 1/v

1/v=1/30 - 1/50=20/(30×50)=1/75

v=75 cm As per convention behind the mirror, it will be a virtual image.
