If the radius of Sphere s doubled find the ratio of the surface area of the new sphere to that of original sphere

 \frac{surface \: area \: of \: original \: sphere}{surface \: area \: of \: new \: sphere}
 =  \frac{4\pi {s}^{2} }{4\pi  {2}^{2} {s}^{2} }
 =  \frac{1}{4}
= 1:4
