after it is halved = r/2

let the height = h

Volume in first case = πr²h

Volume in second case = πr²h

π (r/2)²h

πr²h/4

ratio....of their volumes :

 \frac{\pi  {r}^{2}h }{\pi \frac{ {r}^{2} }{4} h}

 \frac{4}{1}

4:1... is the answer..
