1:4 is the right answer because 1/4/1  it becomes 1:4 at last use

Answer:

V2 : V1 = 1 : 4

Step-by-step explanation:

VOLUME OF CYLINDER = πr²h ; where r is radius of base of cylinder ,

h is height of cylinder.

for original cylinder ; volume (V1) = πr²h

for reduced cylinder ; volume (V2) = π(r/2)²h

Ratio will be ; V2 : V1 = 1 : (2)²

                    = 1 : 4
