solution :

(i) curved surface area of cylinder =2×22/7 ×r×h

=2×22/7 ×2.8 ×5.5

=96.8cm²

(ii)total surface area of cylinder

=2×22/7×r(h+r)

=2×22/7 ×2.8 ×(5.5+ 2.8)

=271.04 cm²
