Circumference of the circle = 2πr

=> 2 × π × 6

= 12π

So the circumference of circle is 12π cm

Now length of the arc is 12cm

To find out the area of sector, we need to find what part is the sector, of the total circle.

So fraction of the length of arc to circumference = 12/12π

= 1/π

So area of the sector = fraction × πr²

= 1/π × π × 6²

= 6²

= 36 cm²

greatsj: hey,how can you write cm^2 in that manner
Mankuthemonkey01: If you have Gboard (coz I have Gboard) then hold 2, you will get that option
greatsj: Thanks

length of arc = 12

radius = 6

as we know arc length = angle subtended × radius

angle = arc length/radius

= 12/6 = 2

Now,area of sector = pie r^2/2pie. × ANGLE

= r^2, angle/2

= 6× 6 × 2/2

= 36 cm^2
