If the radius of the circle is increased by 4% by what percent its area will increase

Here's your answer :
Let radius be r.
Area = πr² .

Radius is increased by 4% .
New radius = r + 1/25r = 26/25r .
New Area = π(26/25r)² = πr² ( 676 /625 )

Increase in Area = πr² ( 676/625 - 1 ) = πr² ( 51/625 )

% increase in area = 51/625 * 100 = 8.16%
