Ratio: 5:7
Let the radius and height be 5x and 7x,
Volume = 550 cm^2
Volume =
\pi \:  {r}^{2} h
= 22/7 × 5x ×5x ×7x = 550
=22× 25x^3 = 550
=550x^3=550
=x^3=1
=x= cube root of 1 = 1 cm
Radius= 5 ×1 =5 cm
Height= 7×1=7 cm

SOLUTION :

The radius and height of a cylinder are in ratio = 5:7 respectively    (given)

The volume of the cylinder = 550 cm cube    (given)

To be found :-

The radius of the cylinder

Let

radius of the cylinder be 5x cm

height of the cylinder be 7x cm

We know that,

formula for finding the formula for volume of cylinder

= \bf \pi r^{2}h  unit cube

[ ∴ In which r is the radius and h is the height of the cylinder ]

\bf \frac{22}{7} \times (5x)^{2} \times 7x=550

\bf \frac{22}{7} \times 25x^{2} \times 7x=550

\bf 550x^{3} =550

\bf x^{3}=\frac{550}{550}

\bf x^{3} = 1

\bf x=\sqrt[3]{1}

∴ x = 1

So,

radius of the cylinder be 5x cm = 5 × 1 = 5 cm

height of the cylinder be 7x cm = 7 × 1 = 7 cm

Hence

The radius of the cylinder is 5 cm
