Rainfall (h) = 5 cm = 0.05m

area = 1 hectares = 10000 m^2

volume of rainfall = area × h

=> V = 10000×0.05 = 500 m^3

1 m^3 = 1000 litres

500 m^3 = 500 × 1000 = 500000 litre

Hence, 500000 litres of water fell on the field that day.

Rainfall (h) = 5 cm = 0.05m

area = 1 hectares = 10000 m²

volume of rainfall = area × h

=> V = 10000×0.05 = 500 m³

1 m³= 1000 litres

500 m³= 500 × 1000 = 500000 litre

Hence, 500000 litres of water fell on the field that day.
