If the rate of respiration is more than the rate of photosynthesis, the energy consumed will be more than the energy produced. Since, plants are autotrophs and they don't have external source of nutrition for gaining this energy. It will die. If the rate of respiration is higher than the photosynthesis........

Answer:

Respiration takes place to create energy or ATP through which plants make food.
