If the ratio of boys and girls of class VIII is 3:5 and total students in the class is 40 then find the number of girls in the class?​

Let the no of boys = 3x and girls = 5x

Total students in the class = 40

According to question,

3x+5x=40

8x=40 x=40/8

x= 5

no of girls = 5x=5×5=25
