Step-by-step explanation:

If the ratio of Green, Yellow and Black balls in a bag is 4 : 3 : 5

Let the common factor for all the balls are x,so

(a) Which is the most likely ball that you can choose from the bag?

Answer: Black

Reason: Since black balls are more as compare to green and yellow.

(b) How many balls in total are there in the bag if you have 40 black balls in it?

Ans.

5x = 40 \\  \\ x =  \frac{40}{5}  \\  \\ x = 8 \\  \\

Total balls in the bag:

 = 4x + 3x + 5x \\  \\  = 12x \\  \\  = 12 \times 8 \\  \\  = 96 \\  \\

(c) Find the number of green and yellow balls in the bag

Ans: Number of green balls

 = 4x \\  \\  = 4 \times 8 \\  \\  = 32 \\  \\

Number of yellow balls

 = 3x \\  \\ =  3 \times 8 \\  \\ =  24 \: balls \\  \\

Hope it helps you.
