The ratio of the intensity of sources be 4:1
.
Process
_______
Let i1 and i2 be the intensity of sources.
Imax /Imin = {(i1)^½ +(i2)^½} ² /{(i1) ^½ - (i2)^½ }²

(9/1)^½ = {(i1)^½+(i2)^½} /{(i1)^½ - (i2) ^½}

{(4)^½ +(1)^½}/{(4)^½ - (1)^½} = {(i1)^½ +(i2)^½} / {(i1)^½ - (i2) ^½}

So, i1 = 4 and i2 = 1

So the ratio of the intensity of sources = i1 :i2 =4:1 __(ans) __

Hope I helped u.

rakeshmohata: I max = square of sum of amplitude of the two sources
rakeshmohata: and I min = the square of difference of amplitude of the two sources
rakeshmohata: amplitude² = Intensity so
rakeshmohata: amplitude =(intensity) ^½
rakeshmohata: now I hope u got it
Durgachoudhury: ya ....somewhat.....better.....
rakeshmohata: i1 and i2 are intensity... so their amplitude will be (i1) ^½
Durgachoudhury: ya broo......now i get it....
Durgachoudhury: thanks a lot bro..
rakeshmohata: welcome..
