The ratio of its mean and median is 9 : 10

Solution:

Given that,

Ratio of mode and median of a certain data is 6 : 5

Let the mode of the data be 6x

Let the median of the data be 5x

The relationship between mean, mode and median is given as:

Mode = 3 Median - 2 Mean

Therefore,

6x = 3 (5x) - 2\ mean\\\\6x = 15x - 2\ mean\\\\2\ mean = 15x - 6x\\\\2\ mean = 9x\\\\mean = \frac{9x}{2}

Find the ratio of its mean and median

Mean : Median = \frac{9x}{2} : 5x\\\\Mean : Median = \frac{9}{2} : 5\\\\Mean : Median =  9 : 10

Thus the ratio of its mean and median is 9 : 10
