If incomes of A & B are in ratio of 3:4 & their expenditures in ratio of 4:5 find the ratio of their saving given that B saves a third of his income?

Let income of A and B be 3*x and 4*x respectively.

Their expenditures be 4*y and 5*y.

Thus, savings of A and B will be 3*x-4*y and 4*x-5*y respectively

Given situation is,

4∗x−5∗y=1/3∗4x

12∗x−15∗y=4x

8∗x=15∗y

Therefore, ratio of their savings=

(3∗x−4∗y)/(4∗x−5∗y)

=(3∗x−4∗8∗x/15)/(4∗x−5∗8∗x/15)

=(15∗3–8∗4)/(15∗4–5∗8)

=13/20

Answer:

The salary of B is 48000

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

the ratio of salaries of two salesman A and B is 3:4

The salary of A is 36000

We need to find the salary of B

let the salary of B be x

The ration of A and B is equal to the ratio of salaries so we get as

\frac{36000}{x} =\frac{3}{4} \\\\x=\frac{4}{3} *36000\\\\x=48000
