Answer:

6.25 years

Step-by-step explanation:

since SI:P is 8:12.5

SI= 25/16 *P

SI=PRT/100

25/16 *P= PT^2 /100

T=25/4= 6.25years

Answer: Time of investment = 8 years

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

ratio of simple interest : principal = 8: 25/2

∴ Simple interest = 8x , principal = 12.5x

Let, Rate of interest = time = y

We know that, Simple interest = \frac{P * R * T }{100}

⇒ 8x =  \frac{12.5x * y * y}{100}

y^ {2} = \frac{8 * 100}{12.5}  = 64

∴ y = 8

∴ Time of investment = 8 years
