Step-by-step explanation:

ratio of speed is 2:5 and ratio of distance is 5:9.

so,

we apply :

time = distance/speed

now ,

for first train :

time (T1) = distance (D1) / speed ( S1)

= 5/2

= 2.5

for second train:

time(T2) = distance ( D2) / speed ( S2)

= 9/5

= 1.8

so, the ratio of time is :

ratio of time = time (T1)/ time (T2)

= 2.5 / 1.8

so the ratio of time is 2.5 : 1.8
