We know that

Let, diagonal be 5x and breadth be 3x
(5x)² = (12)² + (3x)²
25x² = 144 + 9x²
25x² - 9x² = 144
16x² = 144
x² = 144/16
x² = 9
x = √9
x = 3
Hence
Diagonal = 5x = 5(3) = 15 cm
Breadth = 3x = 3(3) = 9 cm
