Before we start the answer let me tell you that we are going to use the formula of area of square =

=>

$\frac{1}{2 } {diagonal}^{2}$

not

area of square = side ²

Thus by this formula

let the diagonals of the two squares be 4x and x.

The ratio will be 16 : 1.
