Ans. - Let length be 5x and breadth be 3x.

Then, 2(l+b) = 144 2(5x+3x) = 144

2 × 8x = 144 16x = 144 x = 144/16 = 9.

Hence, length = 5x = 5 × 9 = 45 m and breadth =

3x = 3 × 9 = 27 m.

Area = lb = 45 × 27 = 1215

Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

144m= 2(5x+3x)

144m= 2(8x)

144/16=x

9=x

area of rectangle=l×b

5(9)×3(9)=1215

therefore the area of rectangle is 1215
