Here is your answer
Let the length of a rectangle = 5 X
and breadth of a rectangle = 3X

ATQ
5x + 3x = 144 \\ 8x = 144 \\ x = \frac{144}{8} \\ x = 18 \\ \\ now \: \\ length \: = 5x = 5 \times 18 \\ = 90 \\ and \: breadth \: = 3x = 3 \times 18 \\ = 54
So the length is 90 m. Answer

Hope it helps you

Given:

  • Ratio of the sides of a rectangle is 5 : 3.
  • Perimeter of the rectangle is 144cm.

To find:

  • Length of the rectangle?

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Solution:

Let the sides of the triangle be 5x and 3x.

As we know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

Here,

  • Perimeter = 144 cm
  • Length = 5x
  • Breadth = 3x

Putting the values,

➜ 2 (5x+ 3x) = 144

➜ 2 × 8x = 144

➜ 16x = 144

➜ x = 144/16

x = 9cm

Therefore,

Length of the rectangle = 5x = 5 × 9= 45cm
