GIVEN :

The ratio of length to the breadth = 5:3

Perimeter of the Rectangle = 2[l+b] = 144

Let the each ratio be x

According to the problem,

2 [ 5x + 3x ] = 144

2 [ 8x ] = 144

8x = 144/2

8x = 72

x = 72/8

x = 9

The value of x is 9.

Then,

Length of Rectangle = 5x = 5 × 9 = 45

Breadth of Rectangle= 3x = 3 × 9 = 27

Therefore, the length of Rectangle is 45m.

SOLUTION

Given,

Length and Breadth in Ratio

Perimeter= 144m

Let the number be x

Length=5x

Breadth= 3x

Now,

Perimeter= 2(l+b)= 144

=) 2(5x+3x)= 144m

=)10x+6x= 144m

=) 16x= 144m

=) x= 144/16

=) x= 9

So, length = 5x= (5×9)m

=) 45 m

hope it helps ✔️
