if wetake ration of above quantities

h/u = u^2sin^2theta/ucostheta2g

= u tan theta sin theta

2ucostheta2g= u^2sin^2theta

but R= u^2sin2theta/g

therefore if wesubstitute value of R in above equation weget

ucostheta =2hsin2theta/sin^2theta
