SOLUTION

GIVEN

  • The ratio of three sides of a triangle is 5 : 4 : 3

  • The perimeter is 24 cm

TO DETERMINE

The length of three sides of the triangle.

EVALUATION

Here it is given that the ratio of three sides of a triangle is 5 : 4 : 3

Let the three sides are 5x cm , 4x cm , 3x cm

Now it is given that perimeter is 24 cm

Sum of the three sides = 24 cm

So by the given condition

5x + 4x + 3x = 24

⇒ 12x = 24

⇒ x = 2

Hence the required length of three sides of the triangle are 10 cm , 8 cm , 6 cm
