*If the rectangle is 8.5 cm long and 3.5 cm wide, what is its perimeter ?*

Given:-

  • A rectangle is 8.5 cm long and 3.5 wide.

To find:-

  • Perimeter of a rectangle.

Solution:-

Here,

  • Length (l) = 8.5 cm
  • Breadth (b) = 3.5 cm

According to the question,

→ Perimeter = 2(length + breadth)

→ P = 2(l + b)

→ P = 2(8.5 + 3.5)

→ P = 2(12)

P = 24 cm

Hence,

  • the perimeter of a rectangle is 24 cm.

More Formulas:-

→ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

→ Perimeter of square = 4 × side

→ Area of square = a²

→ Area of rectangle = l × b

→ Area of triangle = ½ × b × h

→ Area of parallelogram = b × h
