the temperature of the room would definitely increase but not decrease
if the refrigerator door is kept open.the temperature in refrigerator is less
compared to that of the room and if it is open then the air will be in contact
due to this the both bodies attain a equilibrium temperature and thus the
temperature of refrigerator increases. If the temperature of the refrigerator
increases then the thermostat needs to maintain the temperature of the
refrigerator. So,the motor in the refrigerator works more and the heat is
pushed into the room to maintain the temperature of the refrigerator and as
heat is pushed into the room the temperature of the room gets increased.
hope my answer is clear and understandable.

Answer:
- As a refrigerator is a heat pump.
- Hence it extracts heat from a low temperature reservoir and transfers it to a high temperature reservoir.
- Thus, refrigerator exhausts more heat into the room than it extracts from it. Hence, the room will become warm.
