If the relative density of a substance is lesser than one. Will it float or sink in water? Give one reason to support your answer

it will float ex: ice in water density of water 1 and that of ice is 0.9

Fluid less dense than the fluid around it rises relative to the gravitational body. Oil is less dense than water so it rises above it. Ice expands when it freezes making it slightly less dense than liquid water. Helium is less dense than air, so balloons rise.
