Step-by-step explanation:

Let the diagonals be x and y cm.

area(orinigal)=1/2.

diagonal 1 . diagonal 2 =1/2xy.

now x is reduced by 2 percent.

new diagonal = x-2/100.

x =49x /50. y is increased by 2percent.

New diagonal =y+2/100.y=51y/50.

new area =1/2 .

diagonal 1 .diagonal 2(both are new diagonal). new area = 1/2.

49x/50.51y/50=2499xy/5000.

change area = 2499xy/5000-1/2xy =-xy/5000.

change percent = change/original .

100 =-xy/5000/1/2xy.100=-1/25=0.04percent

hope it helps you ♥️♥️
