If the roots of the equation 2x +px +q=0 are in the ratio 2 : 3 then

Then a+b= -p/2 and ab=q/2

It is given a/b=2/3

(a+b)^2/ab= (p/2)^2/(q/2)

a/b + b/a +2 = p^2/2q

2/3 + 3/2 + 2 = p^2/2q

25/6 = p^2/2q

25/3 = p^2/q

25q = 3p^2 Ans
