4x^3'-12x^2+11x+k =0

  • (x+y+z)= -b/a = -(-12/4)= 12/4 = 3
  • in Ap, 2y=x+z
  • x+y+z=3
  • y+2y=3
  • 3y=3y
  • y=1
  • put f(1)=0
  • then we get ; 4-12+11+k=0
  • 4-1+k=0
  • 3+k=0
  • k=-3

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

4x^3'-12x^2+11x+k =0

   (x+y+z)= -b/a = -(-12/4)= 12/4 = 3

   in Ap, 2y=x+z

   x+y+z=3

   y+2y=3

   3y=3y

   y=1

   put f(1)=0

   then we get ; 4-12+11+k=0

   4-1+k=0

   3+k=0

   k=-3
