mahfoozfarhan4: what if its not real and equal?
utkarsh2209: then b²-4ac<0
utkarsh2209: b²-4ac < 0
utkarsh2209: i think it's not showing greater than sign
mahfoozfarhan4: sorry i didnt get u
mahfoozfarhan4: okay
utkarsh2209: i mean if roots are not real or equal than b²-4ac would be smaller than 0 hence its value would be negative
mahfoozfarhan4: ooohk

If roots of p(X)=5x²+mx+5=0 are equal then.

b²-4ac=0

here; a=5; b=m; c=5

hence; m²-4(5)(5)=0

m²-100=0

m²=100

m=√100

thus; m=10 ANS:
