Given : roots of the equation 3x² - 4x + c = 0  are equal,

To find : Value of c

Solution:

ax² + bx + c = 0

has equal roots if D = 0

D = b² - 4ac

Comparing  3x² - 4x + c = 0 with  ax² + bx + c = 0

a = 3

b = - 4

c = c

D = (-4)² - 4(3)c = 16 - 12c

D = 0

=> 16 - 12c = 0

=> 4 - 3c = 0

=> 3c = 4

=> c = 4/3
