Solution :-

Given :- \sf{Fraction = \dfrac{3}{5}}

Let the same number which is added to both Numerator & denominator be x.

\rightarrow{\sf{\dfrac{3 + x}{5 + x} = \dfrac{3}{4}}}

By Cross Multiplication :-

\rightarrow{\sf{4 (3 + x) = 3 (5 + x)}}

\rightarrow{\sf{12 + 4x = 15 + 3x}}

\rightarrow{\sf{4x - 3x = 15 - 12}}

\rightarrow{\boxed{\sf{x = 3}}}

Verification :-

\rightarrow{\sf{\dfrac{3 + x}{5 + x} = \dfrac{3}{4}}}

\rightarrow{\sf{\dfrac{3 + 3}{5 + 3} = \dfrac{3}{4}}}

\rightarrow{\sf{\dfrac{6}{8} = \dfrac{3}{4}}}

\rightarrow{\sf{\dfrac{3}{4} = \dfrac{3}{4}}}

Hence, Verified !!

\boxed{\boxed{\sf{So,\ the\ number\ is\ 3.}}}
