1
profit
as the selling price is more than buying price

FirstStudent1: with steps
vijay433: s.p=18×x
vijay433: c.p=16×x
vijay433: gain=(18-x)-(16-x)/16x×100
vijay433: gain=(18x-16x/16x)×100
vijay433: gain=12.5%

s.p=18
c.p=16
s.p-c.p=profit
18-16=profit
2=profit
profit %=profit/c.p×100
=2/16×100
=12.5%

FirstStudent1: But the sp of 18 oranges = cp of 16 oranges isn't it ?
vikas237: supposed
